How to Join the Boston Beanstalks Tall Club

Eligibility Requirements

  • Women must be at least 5'10" in height. Men must be at least 6'2" tall. Measurements are in one’s stocking feet.
  • New members must be measured by a board member within four months of joining the club.
  • Minimum age is 21 years.

Prospective Membership

Assuming you meet all of the eligibility requirements concerning height and age, you can take advantage of a prospective membership. The Boston Beanstalks Tall Club has a two-month prospective period. During these two months you will receive two newsletters including the calendar for these months. This is your opportunity to attend several social functions and/or work events and get acquainted with Beanstalks members.

At any time, if you decide to join the Beanstalks, you simply submit a membership application. This is very simple; all we need is the basics such as your name and address. We would like you to list your interests and hobbies so that we can know you better. Within four months of our receipt of the application, you must be officially measured (in your stocking feet) by a board member. Annual membership dues for those living in the New England states of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut are $30 for singles and $50 for married couples. Those living outside New England pay $10 for singles and $15 for married couples. This price includes a subscription to our monthly newsletter, The Bean Pod. Membership is renewed annually on July 1. Initial dues are prorated from the month when you join through the next June 30.

A good way to start is by sending an Email to membership@hubtall.org. A membership coordinator will arrange for you to receive your complimentary newsletter, The Bean Pod, and will address your questions and concerns about attending events, directing you to people who may be able to help you. And then you’re on your way to becoming a Boston Beanstalk.

You can sign up online for your complimentary issues of The Bean Pod. We’ll call you to answer any questions that you may have. If you don’t hear from us within two weeks (or anytime you want), please send an Email to membership@hubtall.org. This newfangled electronic stuff isn’t foolproof, you know.

If you’d like to join right now, please click the Membership button to the left. This will get you a form that you can print and mail, enclosing your initial membership dues. You can instead pay your initial dues by clicking the Payment button in the left column. You’ll still have to send in the membership form, though.
