Welcome to our Y2K Bash! |
Michelle Green's mom to the rescue! Otherwise,
Michelle would have spent the entire party with her foot in the grate. |
As with any good event, the kitchen is a
favorite meeting place. Especially when that's where the drinks can be
found. |
The bubbles weren't only in the champagne.
Madison, Tom and Wini blow up a storm of bubbles. |
Hostess Joyce Harty, Frank and Tom try their
hands at bubbling. |
The furniture in Joyce's house is designed for
people our size. Rachel clearly appreciates that. |
Bob Learnard spun the tunes in his silver
sequin shirt. |
Bob even had us dancing on the stairs. |
YMCA was an early favorite. |
And that perennial tall club favorite, the
Electric Slide. |
There was belly-rubbin' music, too, enjoyed by
Susan & Jan Huffman and Terry Machie & Stefan Shcherby. |
As midnight approached we gathered around the
TV to see the ball drop in Times Square. |
Madison and Jay await the magic moment. Will
the lights stay on? |
Yes, and the new year is welcomed in the
traditional manner. |
Susan Huffman wishes Arthur Tunnell Happy New
Year! |
Yes, Happy New Year! |
Rachel Tworkowski demonstrates another New
Year's tradition. |
Stephany Goodman and Leigh Harty looked out the
front door |
and saw fountains and sparklers welcoming the
new year. |
It was hard to say what shown brighter: new
member Victoria Reid in her spaghetti straps, George McQuilken in his
kilt, or the light ball overhead. |
There was even quiet space for those wanting to
escape the maddening crowd. |
As the hour grew late, some parts of the house
grew quiet enough for a presidential catnap. |
